Yeah ..... sun is out... mud dried up and long warm evenings again . Oh yes.... we love this time of year . Horses coats starting to gleam and our season is seriously under way again eventing and SJing . Plenty of smart horses popping up for sale here in NZ , so exciting times for us here at QNZH. Watch this space !!!Our lovely event horse based in UK "Quincey " has just stepped up to Advanced level and had a good solid performance to finish the season on. It must have been quite testing as only 4 clear SJing rounds in the class and quite a few Elims and Retired xc and stops here and there so WELL DONE QUINCEY !!! He has learnt alot this season and deserves a good holiday now . Thanks so much to Mark Todd ( the boss ) and Sidney Dufresne his young French rider on managing him and doing such a super job as I sadly have not been able to get over to UK to watch this season and catch up with all my wonderful buddies in UK .
Great news for "Grasshopper" our resident stallion. His first baby has been born in USA . Moscato his mum, a talented NZ TB eventer was served before she was exported to USA and she has done us all proud delivering a healthy black/grey filly with cute white sox behind. Congratulations Alfonso !!! We are expecting 5 foals here in Cambridge in next few weeks and first one is due any day now from our wonderful 23 yo Brilliant Invader mare "Brilliance Galore ". This will be her 12th foal , bless her !!!On an interesting note, William Fox-Pitt's world class new 3* horse "Parklane Hawk" we found for him here in NZ just 12 months ago , is out of a Brilliant Invader mare called DeeBee Lady . She has produced some very good racehorses as well.
ALSO , the world class SJing mare "Dunstan Delphi " ridden by Katie McVean and currently show jumping in NZ team at WEG as I write , is also out of a Brilliant Invader mare called Flower Power that Jeff McVean SJed with success .
Hmmmm .....this breed just keeps popping up with great great jumpers !!!
