WOW.......... NZ is back on the scene as one of leading eventing nations ...YES , YES !!!!!Huge congratulations to our NZ eventing team ( and not to overlook VERY important support crew ) on job well done this weekend in Lexington with 2 Bronze Medals . Nicolson brought home the bacon as to be expected with Individual Bronze. Jock ( Jonathon Paget ) did us proud to get 7th , oh so close !!!
Toddy was a solid performer all the way through as to be expected to finish 11th. Caroline Powell finished 22nd with one rail SJing and Clarke Johnstone finished 39th.
German Michael Jung is now the new WORLD CHAMPION of eventing and shone all the way over the 4 days so he stood out big time.
Great Britain took away Gold medal for Team, great result for GB !!!Two of QNZH's great clients shone , William Fox-Pitt was unreal as always to take the Silver Medal.
Stuart Tinney (Australia's version of Mark Todd we reckon !!) did Australia proud on his NZ bred horse to finish 13th.
Australia seriously had such bad luck all the way thru. Firstly to loose the wonderful Megan Jones and Kirby Park Irish Jester , suffering from travel sickness . Then 2 of their great horses had a bad day XC.
Sam Griffith and Happy Times had a fall XC and Paul Tapner had to pull up when he recognised his horse was not 100%. We hope your lovely horse comes right quickly Paul !!
Oh well , ROCK ON OLYMPICS 2010 !!!!!!!!!!!!!
